Doing Chores For Nanna
Next month I see my granny. I look forward to meeting her, though she has become a bit stubborn in her later years. I won’t embarrass her by divulging her age, but let’s only say she’s a lady with exhaustively seasoned wisdom.
The last time I saw her I brought my yamaha keyboard so I could perform some music for her. She relished it, but unfortunately because she is not all there, she kept interrupting me to inquire of me to help her find a clean computer monitor. Yes, she actually uses a computer. And maybe she was disrupting me because I’m simply that weak at playing the keyboard.
I constantly discover something enigmatic at her house when I visit. Last time, I discovered many guides on penny stocks on her cocktail table. My grandma learning about how to buy penny stocks online? That’s nuts. I wonder what I’ll encounter on her coffee table this year.
This time will make for a busy visit. We must install her fresh Emtek door knobs and air conditioner filters then repair her garden cart. I additionally have to take her old pots and pans to charity as she just purchased a fresh collection of pots and pans to replace them. As a reward, she claims to also have purchased the best ice cream maker and the greatest of all the electic coffee makers. I am thankful, yet I also have to laugh softly as she invariably claims to have or utilize only the greatest of this or that.
If everything proceeds well, she’ll utilize both to serve me some sweet coffee at dawn and ice cream in the afternoon. That sounds like more than pay back enough for my effort. I’m glad to assist her for nothing, but a bit of robust java and sweat ice cream does not hurt.
