Is May a good Travel month? For cancun, Cabo or Hawaii?
MelC asked:

May is not a time to worry about hurricanes, at least not in Mex. The time to worry is July through Nov. May is a beautiful time to travel.

You could travel to either destination, I wouldn’t worry about May at all, it would be based on your preference, Hawaii, Cabo or Cancun are all beautiful, a cruise is also a great way to see more places in one vacation.
Have fun

Hurricane season is usually from july-ish to november-ish.
May would be a great time to go to on your trip because the weather is good ( not too hot to the extent of suffocating, not windy) and it is low season so the prices are cheaper.

Hawaii is awesome any time of year. Cabo is best during November-February because it is unbelievably dry the rest of the year. I went in August and it was the worst thing that ever happened to me! Cancun is also pretty much awesome any time of year, however May might bring more spring-breaking action in Cancun than you’re looking for. I would recommend flying to Cancun as opposed to a cruise during Hurricane season. Good luck and have a safe trip.

Warmer months in places like Mexico are generally cheaper than the other times of the year. The reason: It can get so hot, no one wants to visit.
If you are thinking about Mexico, think about other destinations. You can stay in Cozumel cheaper than Cancun, it is less crowded, a little less crime, and not as “touristy” (at least, I found the downtown shops and restaurants less pushy and not as crowded as Cancun). Some hotels even offer “fly and stay packages” that are all inclusive, to include food, drinks, tips and transportation.
The wrong time to go is when you can’t go. Also, if you are worried about hurricane season, you can get “trip insurance” to refund your costs should your trip get cancelled.

The last time I went to Cancun was in the month of May and it was great! Really hot, but great! It may have rained one day.
