the best time to go to hawaii would be around march or april. It is because its hot, but not too hot, during the summer. And it rains ALOT during the Fall throught Winter time. We just had a storm and it flooded the roads and some houses. so april is a good time to go.

Yes, you can get some really good deals right now. The February and March fares will be higher, as it is peak season. Although the economy has dealt our tourism a harsh blow and it is slow everywhere at the moment (which is rare this time of year), as a rule of thumb, the best times to come are the first two weeks in May or the first two weeks in December. These times have beautiful weather and the least amount of visitors. At present, many properties have lowered their room rates (specially the large resorts), and the biggest price reductions have been on the the Big Island.

Cruise hands down, youll have tons of fun on one and youll gain about 5 lbs at the end of it. theres pre pre breakfast, then breakfast, the after breakfast, then light pre lunch, then lunch, then after lunch, then pre dinner, then dinner, then desert, then after desert snack, then the midnight buffet. you can eat about 15 times a day on a cruise ship. there is a cruise ship that visits all of the islands that takes off from Oahu.

The weather is the same year round in Hawaii. It only varies about 5 degrees winter thru summer.

If you want to go at a less busy time, then you’d want to travel when most people aren’t traveling to Hawaii. I’d guess that most mainlanders vacation in Hawaii in Winter (to escape the cold) and summer when their kids are out of school.

I’ve been told that Spring and Fall are the best times for less crowds, but you’ll never escape them 100%.

I am hoping to go back to Hawaii in May! I love the Big Island… less touristy!
